Elizabeth Faue, Wayne State University history professor, is critical of the Michigan Legislature’s efforts to push controversial bills, such as right-to-work, during its lame-duck session. In an op-ed, Faue suggests that the bill is now passing through the Legislature without public hearings, behind the locked doors of the Capitol, and that the open meetings law has been violated.
