College of Education announces grand opening of the Information Station
Wayne State University’s College of Education will host the grand opening of its Information Station from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. Wednesday, April 16, on the main level of the College of Education, 5425 Gullen Mall, room 116. Visitors can enjoy games, raffles, social hours and refreshments.
The Information Station is designed to be the central hub of information for the College of Education. It is a collaborative effort that supports both academic and student affairs for potential and current students.
“The station was designed to promote student success and retention in a nurturing and welcoming environment. We have staffed the area with a team of individuals who can provide resources to students, faculty and community members,” said College of Education Dean Carolyn Shields.
The space will become the permanent home of the college’s director of outreach, liaison librarian and academic services staff, as well as administrators from Ferndale’s University High School, the college’s K-12 partner.
