Confucius Institute hosts Chinese Cuisine Cooking Contest

The Confucius Institute at Wayne State University, in conjunction with the Association of Chinese Americans, will host the second annual Chinese Cuisine Cooking Contest on Wednesday, Dec.  5.

The contest will be held from 3 to 5 p.m. at Central Alliance Church, 616 W. Hancock.

Last year’s contest was a success not only in turnout, but also with the delicious bounty of food that was created. 

Sample authentic Chinese cuisine and cast your vote for your favorite dish. Admission is free and refreshments will be provided for all who participate.

The Confucius Institute at Wayne State University promotes Chinese language and culture and offers a multitude of programs to the southeastern Michigan community including study abroad programs, K-12 outreach programs, a summer program for high school students, and an annual Michigan China Quiz Bowl for middle and high school students.
