Celebrate International Education Week Nov. 12-16
International Education Week will take place on college campuses across the country November 12-16 as part of a national initiative to promote programs that prepare Americans for a global environment.
At Wayne State, International Education Week will feature interactive programs that showcase how the university brings the world to Detroit with its diverse student body and unique campus culture. Events include a screening of the documentary Crossing Borders and sessions on festivals, student activism, and educational opportunities around the world.
“I’ve worked with faculty and students across the country, and I’ve never experienced a more diverse campus environment than what we have at WSU,” says Jaclyn Assarian, associate director of international programs. “The students and faculty here are culturally aware and constantly open to new experiences.”
