The Institute for Information Technology and Culture (IITC) at Wayne State University is hosting a free four part speaker series.September 22, 2008
The series will begin on Friday Sept. 26 at 3 p.m. in the Lecture Hall of the Detroit Institute of Arts. Guest speaker, Rita Denny, Ph.D., anthropologist of consumer culture, will lead off the speaker series titled, "This is Dangerous Territory: Social Research Out of Bounds." Refreshments will follow in the Romanesque Hall.
Denny is a founding partner of Practica Group. She has worked with the DIA on restructuring their advertising campaign and will reflect upon the concept of consumer research as she shares personal experiences of her work with the DIA.
