Michelle Engler receives honorary degree from Wayne State University

Michigan first lady Michelle Engler (right) accepts congratulations from Diane Dunaskiss, who chairs the Wayne State University Board of Governors, prior to WSU's winter commencement ceremonies in Detroit's Cobo Arena. A member of the Michigan State Bar Association and the first of the state's first ladies to be a lawyer, Engler received an honorary Doctor of Laws degree from the university Dec. 16 in recognition of her efforts to promote community service and to improve the lives of citizens throughout the state.
